Camp Goal: To Expose, Expand and Explore.

To introduce back-packing and camping as forms of outdoor recreation and encourage the importance of safety in outdoor environments. To explore a wide range of outdoor activity in order to generate strong and safe fundamental movements and abilities.
*Tent and other camping equipment will be provided. Sleeping bag & Sleeping mat are required and available for rental.

Session I Schedule – Full day 9am-4pm (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday OVERNIGHT)

·   First Aid/Camping Safety Orientation

·   Clean up & after dinner activity

·   Bed by 10:00pm

Camping equipment required

  • Whistle (to be worn around neck at all times)
  • Sleeping bag | Session I 3 nights option to rent $40 | Session II 2 nights option to rent $30
  • Sleeping pad | Session I 3 nights option to rent $15 | Session II 2 nights option to rent $8
  • Duffle bag or large backpack for all your camping equipment
  • Day sizes backpack large enough to fit lunch, raingear, water bottle, sunscreen and hat and extra layer
  • 1L water bottle
  • Flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries
  • Rainwear with a hood
  • Sunscreen + hat
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste + other necessary toiletries
  • 1 pair of shorts (quick-dry preferred, no jean shorts)
  • 1 pair of track or sweat pants (quick try material recommended, no jeans)
  • 1 hoodie or polar fleece jacket for night time
  •  1 long sleeve
  • 3 shirts (2 quick dry recommended)
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • Sleep wear
  • 1 pillow case
  • Toque
  • Swimsuit
  • Towel
  • Running shoes (suitable for hiking)
  • Camp shoes (crocs or sandals)

*All equipment will be reviewed and brought to the Oval the day before departure to Golden Ears Provincial Park to ensure proper packing and preparation of each camper is completed.

  • Wednesday 6:00pm Dinner: Mac & Cheese with hotdogs
  • Thursday 8:30am Breakfast: Oatmeal, fruit
  • Thursday 12:00pm Lunch: Jam or meat & cheese wraps/sandwiches, granola bar, apple
  • Thursday 6:00pm Dinner: Pita pizzas – peperoni, peppers, onion, cheese, tomato sauce
  • Friday 8:30am Breakfast: Oatmeal, fruit, jam sandwich
  • Friday 1:00pm Lunch: Jam or meat & cheese wraps/sandwiches, granola bar, apple
