Examples of past Oval Field Trips

Crofton House School Trip

An afternoon at the Oval for their 100 grade 6 & 7 girls. Everyone picks two activities of, indoor climbing, rhythmic gymnastics and yoga.

McRoberts Secondary Grade 8 Retreat

A full day of sport fun! Over two days the Oval hosted McRoberts’ Grade 8’s with 90 students each day. Everyone went ice skating together, then they broke into three groups of thirty to rotate through indoor climbing, team building games, and Oval obstacles and relays where they developed the courses for each other!

Hatzic Secondary Specialized Volleyball PE Class

Training session with Olympic Oval’s Centre of Excellence Volleyball Coaches focussed on skill development followed by team building activities.

“The flow was perfect.  We had free time at the beginning and we were able to break off into two groups for the volleyball drills which was good for meeting all the students needs.  The students loved the leadership games in the gymnastics/tumbling section and their only complaint would be that they wanted to stay longer.  The coaches were excellent and contributed to a memorable field trip for these students.  A must for next year!”
