TRX® Yoga

TRX® Yoga – Friday’s at 9:30am ( July 7th – September 29th, 2017)

Introduce your body to the benefits of  yoga postures incorporating the TRX Suspension Trainer. This yoga-inspired workout will help to  develop joint stability, balance, flexibility and mobility. This class will be held on the Outdoor Plaza for the Summer schedule (weather permitting). Please wear shoes. We will offer yoga mats, however you are welcome to bring your own.


About the Instructor

Christa has been in the fitness industry for 12 years and has taught an array of fitness classes, bootcamps, and TRX. In 2005 she began her journey with yoga and has since specialized in Yoga practice and teaching. Christa is a Master Trainer for North America’s largest yoga school, YogaFit, educating yoga teachers across the continent.  She is an advocate of Yoga and its holistic way of integrating body and mind for optimal daily health and well-being. Christa is the author of two trainings through YogaFit; “YogaFit for Athletes” specializing in yoga programming for sport performance and longevity; and “YogaFit for Injury Prevention and Recovery” focussing on injuries related to sport for the athlete as well as for the general population. She has additional certifications with EXOS Athletic Performance training, Functional Movement Systems (FMS) and most recently TRX® Yoga. Christa loves staying fit and having fun with movement. Her athletic abilities led her to compete in the WBFF (World Bodybuilding Fitness Federation) “figure” category, yet holds raising her 15 yr old daughter as her greatest accomplishment. She has held a variety of positions at the Oval from Fitness Attendant, Climbing Wall Instructor and Sport Camp Leader,  yet you will find her most frequently working with clients as a personal trainer or in the studio leading yoga classes. Catch some of her contagious upbeat energy as she kicks off the Oval’s first small group TRX® Yoga classes this Fall.
