Pilates Semi-Private

Our Instructors

Kathryn Carlberg

Kathryn was first introduced to Pilates in 2006 while attending school at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada as she worked towards a BFA in Contemporary Dance, and BBA in Marketing.  Pilates became a staple in Kathryn’s weekly routine, as a way to compliment her dance training, and to maintain mind-body balance during her studies. After graduation in 2012, Kathryn danced professionally in Vancouver, Canada and began teaching ballet. Finding joy in teaching, Kathryn pursued her Ballet Teaching Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance and graduated in 2015. Shortly after, Kathryn enrolled in the STOTT Pilates Instructor Training Program; she became certified in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels in 2016. Kathryn is excited to be a part of the team, here at Richmond Olympic Oval.

Brenda Straker - Pilates InstructorBrenda Straker

Brenda has many years of experience in the fitness industry both as a Group Fitness Leader and Personal Trainer. Her enthusiasm for health and wellness drove her to pursue a career in teaching Pilates achieving her certification through STOTT Pilates® Vancouver in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels.  Over the past 6 years, Brenda has gained experience working with a diverse clientele from those new to Pilates, rehabilitating from injury, and those looking to take their fitness to the next level. She demonstrates her commitment to continuing education with additional training in Total Barre and Suspension Training.  At the Olympic Oval, Brenda trains private clients and teaches Pilates Mat and small group reformer classes.  “As the years go by, I have personally realized the benefits of a physically active lifestyle; let me help you reap the same rewards and benefits”.

Myola Pautler

Myola was introduced to Pilates while attending York University as a dance major. After Graduating with a BA in Dance, Myola moved to Courtenay BC, where she began practicing Pilates with increased focus and interest. She was inspired to become a Pilates Instructor and moved to Toronto to attend the world renowned ‘Stott Pilates Comprehensive Mat and Reformer Course’.  Myola continued her pilates training in Vancouver, earning her advanced Stott pilates certification in 2014. 

Myola is still passionate about her love of dance and movement and continues to regularly train in Contemporary and Ballet techniques.  She has recently taken a break from Choreography to spend more time with her young daughter. In addition to dance and Pilates, Myola has attended several workshops in various movement styles, including the ‘Eric Franklin Method’, ‘Mind Body Centering’, ‘Laban Movement Fundamentals’, ‘Feldenkrais’, ‘Itchush’ and ‘Countertechnique’.

Myola has experienced firsthand how amazing Pilates is, and how with the right instructor and the right facility, miracles can truly happen.
