Home to the Canadian Olympic Long Track team during the Vancouver 2010 Games, the Richmond Olympic Oval is dedicated to continuing its Olympic legacy. Our world-class facility hosts a variety of speed skating programs for all ages and abilities. We are dedicated to providing a center that offers speed skating program for those who want to try it for the first time as well as those seeking to one day wear the maple leaf on the international stage.

Learn the basics of the fastest human-powered sport on ice in this 2 hour introductory course at the Richmond Olympic Oval, the home of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Long Track Speed Skating.
In partnership with the Richmond Rockets, participants will gain on and off-ice knowledge and skills from qualified coaches to give you the ultimate speed skating experience.
Session are led by veteran world cup national team speed skater, and Oval Coach Nicole Garrido. Speed Skates and helmets will be provided. On-ice portion is fully padded. Participants must have prior skating experience. Skaters must be able to stand and glide on ice unassisted.
