Club Development Camp

The Club Development Camp is an open development opportunity for club speed skaters 9-14 years old who are currently competing at the local or regional level. The goal is to provide development opportunities for Learning to Train (L2T) and Training to Train (T2T) skaters who wish to maximize their skating potential. Camp days will include dryland, strength & condition, ice sessions and integrated services sessions (nutrition, yoga and sports psychology) tailored to the specific age and ability range. On ice sessions will be held on short track ice.

July 9th to 13th   MON to FRI   8:30AM to 4:30PM

Talent Development Camp

The Talent Development Camp is an opportunity for top junior skaters from Western Canada to train together under a high-performance program.  Skater participation is based on performance at national and regional level events, National Qualifiers and the Western Elite Circuit. The goal of the camp is to provide on and off ice guidance and instruction that will positively impact the athletes’ transition into provincial and national development team status.

Camp days will include dryland, strength & condition, ice sessions and integrated services sessions (nutrition, yoga and sports psychology) tailored to the specific age and ability range. On ice sessions will be held on short track ice.

July 23rd to 27th   MON to FRI 8:30AM to 4:30PM

Elite Weeks 1 & 2

Speed Skate Elite Weeks are part of the Performance Program designed to improve skating efficiency, develop sport specific strengths and support individual training goals through on-ice and strength & conditioning sessions.  The program is delivered with a consistent daily approach to improving athletic performance.

Elite Week 1: July 16th to 20th   MWF 4:00PM to 6:00PM   Tues/Thurs 4:00PM to 8:00PM

Elite Week 2: July 30th to Aug 3rd MWF 4:00PM to 6:00PM   Tues/Thurs 4:00PM to 8:00PM

Stage 2 Camp

The Stage 2 Performance Camp is a high-performance training opportunity for top skaters who aspire to compete at the 2019 Canada Winter Games.  Skater participation is based on commitment to improving competitive performance. The goal of the camp is to provide on and off ice guidance and instruction that will positively impact the athletes’ transition into provincial and national development team status.

Camp days will include dryland, strength & condition, ice sessions and integrated services sessions (nutrition, yoga and sports psychology) tailored to the specific age and ability range. On ice sessions will be held on short track ice.
