Launch into a wide range of activities in one of our coolest kids programs! ACTIVATE Explorer Kids combines ice-skating lessons and activities with multi-sport fun in a safe and challenging environment. Program includes skate and helmet rentals. The next session starts in April, so sign up today!

The Oval is home to recreational sport leagues, providing the opportunity for hundreds of sport enthusiasts throughout the region to take part in sport activities each week inside a world-class venue.

Urban Rec
Urban Rec has one goal. That goal is to provide the best possible experience to Urban Rec members. Whether it is league nights, theme parties, ski trips, wine tastings or other Urban Rec events, they provide an experience that is second to none.

Urban Rec Leagues are all about being active, being social and having fun. The goal of Urban Rec leagues is to stress the fun and social aspect of playing sports with friends. It really is all about getting out and being active, meeting people and having a good time.

Urban Rec also offers a comprehensive calendar of social events and activities ranging from Wine Tastings, Martini Tours, Monthly Dinner Clubs, Ski Trips, Corporate events and Charity Events. Urban Rec is also involved with such events as the 24 Hour Relay for the Kids, The Underwear Affair, Bowl for Big Brothers, and Mitsubishi City Chase and the CIBC Run for the Cure.

CANLAN Adult Safe Hockey League
The Adult Safe Hockey League is a professionally managed recreational hockey League operating in Canlan owned, leased or managed facilities (click here for a list of current locations). The ASHL offers a safe and competitive environment to a wide variety of age divisions and skill levels.

The ASHL has grown to over 60,000 active players and it continues to grow wherever Canlan Ice Sports develops new facilities or ASHL Satellite League opportunities arise.

In addition, this branded program provides many other benefits, including:
• Sports Accident Insurance for every registered member and
• Real Time Player Statistics to make your hockey experience safe and exciting.

The Adult Safe Hockey League brings its Facility Champions together at four ASHL Regional Championships every year. Regional participants also have an opportunity to qualify for the ASHN North American Championship.

ASHL’s league management and officiating team are committed to ensuring the ASHL provides a safe and challenging level of recreational competition for men and women of all hockey backgrounds.

The Vancouver Metro Basketball League, started in the Fall of 2008, looks to provide the very best, most competitive and safe atmosphere for recreational basketball in Vancouver and surrounding areas. Competitions take place locally and run throughout the Winter and Spring season(s). A portion of the league fees from each player benefit the Canadian Cancer Society and its initiatives.

The word Futsal basically means indoor soccer. Futsal is the official FIFA form of indoor soccer, played with a size 4 slightly weighted leather ball with restricted bounce, on a Futsal specific court flooring.
