The Richmond Olympic Oval has been designed to meet the needs of both disabled and able-bodies athletes and users.

Technogym Inclusive Line in the Fitness Centre

With Inclusive Line, Technogym brings Wellness to everybody, including people who have cognitive, sensory or physical impairments.

To ensure that Technogym best met the needs of this population , Technogym worked closely with the Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI), to achieve the rigorous standards required to gain IFI Stage 2 accreditation for a wide range of key products. This includes introducing new enhanced features that will appeal to all users and maximize accessibility.

The Richmond Olympic Oval features several pieces of equipment from both the cardio and strength equipment lines and is one of the only facilities in Canada to feature this equipment.

 

Team Rooms Accommodate Sport Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs custom designed for sport are much wider than your average wheelchair and do not fit through standard doors. The Richmond Olympic Oval has had all of its team room doors widened to accommodate wheelchair athletes and their most important piece of equipment.

Wheelchair Accessible Rowing Tank
Within the Riverport Community Paddling Centre is the BC's only publically accessible rowing tank designed for wheelchair access.
