Physical Literacy Program

Fundamental Movements School

Whether you want your child to get an active start in life, become a better overall athlete, or increase their sport specific performance, the Richmond Olympic Oval Fundamental Movements School will ensure your child becomes physically literate from an early age, creating a cycle of confidence and motivation that will put your child on the path to both physical and mental health and success for the rest of their lives.

Each week your child will participate in fun and high energy games and skill builders designed to develop, refine, and master fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, and throwing as well as agility, balance, and coordination. All in a world-class multi-sport facility with instructors that are all Fundamental Movement Skills accredited by the National Coaching Certification Program

No other program or facility can give your child a better head start in developing the physical and mental confidence required to succeed on the field, playground, in school and in life.

For more information on the importance of fundamental movement skills please visit the Canadian Sport for Life website and read the Long Term Athlete Development model.
