Red Cross Babysitting Course

In this non-certification course basic first aid and caregiving skills are taught to young individuals interested in providing babysitting and caregiving services.

Students will learn:

  • business of babysitting
  • caring for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children
  • creating a safe environment
  • how to deal with emergencies and basic First Aid and CPR skills
  • which questions are appropriate to ask before accepting a babysitting job and determine what age of child your young teen is comfortable caring for.

Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% minimum passing grade on written exam, 11 years of age minimum.

*All of our RC Babysitting courses are taught by experienced instructors. Youth will be supervised at all times and will not be allowed to go off-site at any point throughout the day without the supervision of their guardian.

Refund Policy:

No refunds or credits will be issued for Babysitting courses, if the request to withdraw from the course occurs within seven days of the program start date.
