From early foundational movement patterns to developing more refined techniques in the weight room, the goal is to educate athletes while also providing a motivational and safe environment.
OvalHP offers sport-specific as well as general multi-sport strength and conditioning athlete development programs.

Elite Training for Athletic Development
Training for Sport: This 5-day program is designed for athletes born 2004-2009 (Train to Train & Train to Compete stages of LTAD Model) who are dedicated to their sport and motivated to pursue athletics beyond their current training level. This intensive program engages, educates and empowers athletes to maximize their training effort, by learning a variety of skills through 10 hours of hands-on high performance training and coaching.
Training sessions will include:
- Speed Development – Specific attention to acceleration, deceleration and first step quickness.
- Strength and Power – Acquire the fundamental movement patterns required to enhance strength and power.
- Core Strength – Key integration for posture, strength, power and coordination.
- Recovery & Regeneration – Learn self-myofascial release techniques to aid in recovery and improve flexibility.

Learn to Train and Train to Train
Level 2: Sr Achievement – Strength & Conditioning Training
This program is for athletes in the ‘Train to Train’ and ‘Train to Compete’ stages of the LTAD seeking training to complement their sport performance goals.
What to Expect in Level 2: Strength & Conditioning Training
The program is catered toward motivated athletes with some training experience and who require some additional supervision to complete their training. Whether it be to refine your technique or be pushed out of your comfort zone, or to help prepare you for training in a varsity environment everyone works better when being coached. This program will serve as an excellent complement to your technical training.
Every sport has unique physical demands, as such, OVAL HP coaches will tailor programming towards the needs of the athletes with consideration being made toward the requirements of the sport (drill selection), ability (progressions & regressions) and season (periodization and energy system development).
Level 1: Jr Achievement in Sport – Introduction to High Performance Training
This program is geared toward athletes in the ‘Learn to Train’ & ‘Train to Train’ stages of the LTAD model looking to advance into independent, knowledgeable athletes into their teenage and adult years.
What to Expect in Level 1: Jr Achievement in Sport
A multi sport approach to athletic development. Athletes will receive instruction through all the movements necessary for athletic success while also being introduced to resistance training. Sprint, squat, jump, throw, catch, hinge, hope, bound, chase & evade will be part of every session. Coaches will challenge athletes through a variety of games, drills and activities designed to develop skills and energy systems for future success.
In the Oval HP centre, coaches will emphasize weight room safety while explaining
exercise technique for foundational lower and upper body movements for strength
training. Athletes can expect to learn basic anatomy, how
to perform a proper warm up and cool down as a fundamental first step to develop training autonomy.
Programs that do not meet minimum registration numbers are subject to cancellation.
Personal Hygiene and Staying Home When Sick are the responsibilities of each individual, we ask that all coaches, staff, athletes and teams are diligent in keeping themselves and others safe. We have implemented a few additional measures including a much more limited capacity to all of our programs and increased cleaning and sanitizing to ensure the health and safety of every individual coming through our doors.
Cancellation Policy
7 days written notice required prior to the start date of the program for a full refund.
No refunds for mid-session cancellation, options for program transfers are available on a case by case scenario (admin fee may be charged).

Programs Refund + Cancellation Policy:
Registrants are eligible to receive a full refund if the request to withdraw from a program occurs more than seven days before the scheduled start date. If the registrant requests to withdraw within seven days of the program start date, an administrative fee of $25.00 will be applied to all refunds.
Please note no refunds or credits can be issued after the end of the second session of the program.
Exceptions are made for medical related withdrawals with medical note provided.
