The Balanced Recovery Series provides a holistic wellness experience that combines yoga, core strengthening, nutrition guidance, and recovery practices. Over the course of five weeks, participants will enjoy calming Candlelight Yoga, deep core workout, essential nutrition tips, foam rolling and trigger point session, and a rejuvenating sound bath meditation.

  • Week 1

    Deep Core

    Date: November 1
    Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

    Experience our Deep Core class, designed to target and enhance the fundamental muscles of your body. This class will focus on the deep muscles of the abdomen, lower back, and pelvis to build a strong, supportive core. Expect exercises that meticulously engage and challenge these key areas. Proper breathing techniques will help you achieve better results and maintain control throughout each movement. Strengthening your deep core muscles improves posture, balance, and overall stability, supports your spine, enhances athletic performance, and reduces the risk of injury. You’ll also experience a more toned and resilient core.  

    All levels are welcome, and modifications will be provided to suit your needs.  

  • Week 2

    Candlelight Yoga

    Step into a serene oasis of tranquility with our Candlelight Yoga class. Let the soothing light guide you into a state of calm and renewal. This class focuses on gentle, restorative poses designed to enhance relaxation and mindfulness. Expect a slow-paced sequence with an emphasis on deep breathing, stretching, and meditative movement. The calming ambiance promotes stress relief, enhances mental clarity, and fosters a sense of inner peace. Perfect for unwinding after a busy day or finding balance in your week. All levels are welcome, and no prior yoga experience is necessary. We look forward to sharing this tranquil experience with you.

    Pre-Workout and Recovery Nutrition

    Unlock the full potential of your fitness routine with our Pre-Workout and Recovery Nutrition class. This informative session is designed to help you optimize your nutrition strategies to enhance workout performance and support effective recovery. 

    • Pre-Workout Nutrition: Learn the essentials of fueling your body before exercise, including the ideal balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, as well as the best timing for meals and snacks to maximize energy and performance during your workout. 
    • Recovery Nutrition: Discover how to properly replenish and repair your body after exercise. We’ll discuss critical nutrients needed for effective muscle recovery, how to rehydrate, and the timing of your post-workout meals to ensure you get the most benefit from your efforts. 
    • Practical Tips: Gain advice on meal planning, easy-to-prepare snacks, and adjusting your nutrition based on different workout intensities and goals.

  • Week 4

    Tension Relief – Foam Rolling and Trigger Point Session

    This rejuvenating Foam Rolling and Trigger Point session designed to enhance your flexibility, alleviate muscle tension, and improve overall performance. It combines the benefits of self-myofascial release with targeted trigger point techniques, helping you to release tightness and restore muscle function in your back, hips and shoulders. Learn proper foam rolling techniques to target major muscle groups, focusing on areas of tightness and discomfort. This segment will help increase blood flow, reduce soreness, and improve mobility. Discover how to identify and release specific trigger points using various tools and techniques. This targeted approach can help alleviate chronic pain and enhance recovery.

  • Week 5

    Release & Renew – Sound Bath and Meditation

    Immerse yourself in a soothing guided meditation that focuses on releasing accumulated stress and tension. Give yourself the space to let go completely is where some of your most restful, creative, and rejuvenating moments arise. In this meditation, you’ll release physical and mental tension, find a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and leave feeling refreshed, centered, and revitalized.

Christa’s fitness journey began with group fitness and individual conditioning and then progressed to personal training and specializing in yoga fitness. She demonstrates her commitment to continuing education with additional training in Yoga, Athletes Performance and Functional Movement Systems, which has fueled her passion for athletic movement, safe practices and performing to one’s highest potential. As a Master Trainer with YogaFit Canada, she integrates yoga movements and breath into her sessions with clients to bring balance and awareness. Christa aspires to have her clients see their potential; to work hard and do their best within their abilities, to see results and experience the benefits and to let go of limiting beliefs

BCRPA-PT/Yoga/Pilates  – Pat has over 20 years of personal training experience. She applies her knowledge to help people of all ages achieve their weight loss, strength, health and wellness goals. Your program will be safe, age-appropriate, effective, and offer variety as she is certified for TRX, KB, ViPR, Pilates, and Yoga and has taught Group Weight Training and Active Aging programs.
