Regional Excellence Program (REP) at the Richmond Olympic Oval is a holistic high performance training environment that supports dedicated club athletes in reaching their full potential and pursuing opportunities at the provincial, national, or post-secondary level. Designed for boys and girls in Grades 9–12, REP is ideal for athletes with strong all-around skills, a deep passion for volleyball, and the drive to achieve excellence both on and off the court.

Richmond athletes from grade 9-12 are eligible to receive PE credits for participating in REP, allowing athletes to free up blocks of time in their school day to train, practice, complete schoolwork, and rest.
REP athletes who reside outside of Richmond are welcome to contact their local school district, for online PE class options.

Coach Hawkins joins the Richmond Oval High Performance Team following his first Olympic Games experience in Paris 2024 with the Men’s National Volleyball team. Coach Hawkins currently leads the UBC Men’s Volleyball program and has been with UBC since 2018. Under his guidance, the team achieved a USports Bronze Medal at last year’s National Championships.
Coach Allyssah recently retired from Team Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team. She brings over 12 years of experience playing at a high level, both internationally and in NCAA programs at Michigan State and the University of Hawaii Beach Volleyball. She has earned two club National Championship titles throughout her career, achieved top 5 NCAA rankings, and received various awards for leadership, sportsmanship, and <b>performance.
Coach Elham is a former member of the Iranian national volleyball team, where she played for 10 years and served as captain. She competed in the Iranian Premier League where she won multiple championship titles as a player and as a coach. Elham started her own volleyball training academy in Iran and served as head coach until moving to Canada. She is currently a coach with Apex Volleyball Club in Vancouver.
Coach Noel grew up playing volleyball locally in Richmond with Air Attack Volleyball Club and has over 10 years of playing at the high-performance level. Noel has over 8 years of coaching at the high school and club level and currently is in his 6th season coaching with Air Attack.
Coach Matt has six years of playing experience through the Air Attack program, playing various positions. Matt has 10 years of coaching experience and is completing his second year in the Regional Excellence Program.
