Camp Offerings

Get Cool

Master The Ice! In this specialized skating camp, children will learn and play a variety of different ice sports. Participants will be on the ice for approximately 75 minutes each day learning hockey, speed skating, ringette, figure skating and broom ball. Off-ice time will be comprised of different sports such as floor hockey, soccer, field hockey, basketball and more to help develop fundamental movement skills like balance and coordination. This camp will be available for ages 9-12 years and 12-15 years in halfday formats. Skates, helmets and all additional equipment will be provided.  

Hockey Fundamentals

From Basics To Brilliance! This camp is intended for beginner to intermediate players with previous hockey experience. Skill-intensive drills in a fun and upbeat style will build strong fundamental skills of power skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting. Participants will be on the ice for 60 to 90 minutes. Off-ice time will be comprised of sports such as floor hockey, volleyball and basketball, and games focused on fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, agility, balance and coordination. All participants must bring full hockey gear, a hockey stick, a water bottle, a change of clothes, and running shoes. Participants should have some hockey experience, ideally through league play, and a solid skating foundation being able to skate forward and backwards. This camp will be available for those aged 6-9 years in halfday formats. 

Hockey Tots

Time To Start Playing Hockey! Tots get introduced to Canada’s game through fun activities and games which focus on fundamental skating and hockey skills. Participants will be on ice for an hour each day. Off-ice time will focus on developing fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing, balance, coordination and agility through playing games and traditional sports such as soccer, basketball, and floorball. All participants must bring full hockey gear, a hockey stick, a water bottle, a change of clothes, and running shoes. Participants should have some skating experience. All tot camps are 3 hours in length. 

Learn to Skate

Building Skills One Skate At A Time! Participants will practice and improve their skating techniques at camp. Each day will include at least one full skating lesson on the ice, giving each camper an average of 30 minutes of skating per day. Qualified Learn to Skate Instructors will teach skills and give campers the opportunity to practice through fun ice games. Off-ice time will include a snack break and a different court game each day to develop other fundamental movement skills like running, jumping and balance. Skate and helmet rentals included. This camp will be available for children aged 6-9 and 9-12 years in halfday formats. The names Penguins, Polar Bears and Puffins are given to Learn to Skate camps to distinguish each group – activities are the same, and participants aged 6-9 years of all levels can participate in either. Narwhals is the name given to the 9-12 years age group.
