Join us for a variety of outdoor adventure camps geared to help you explore the Lower Mainland and challenge yourself through outdoor sports.

Camp Offerings

  • 01

    Get Biking

    Explore the surrounding areas of the Richmond Oval on your bike. Through exciting biking activities and rides, become more confident as a rider and learn road safety and street riding skills. You will ride along trails, the dyke and local streets to visit parks in the neighbourhood such as Terra Nova and Minoru.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Half day camps (3 hours)

    Age: 6 to 9 years

    Experience: Participants must have recently gotten off training wheels and be comfortable riding medium distances including some trail riding.

    Dates: July 2 – 5, July 15 – 19, August 12 – 16, August 19 – 23

    Cost: $180 – $225

    Required items: Please bring a 2-wheel fully operational bike, CSA approved bike helmet, bike lock, sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle and snack.

    Get Moving

    Head outdoors and Get Moving this summer! This camp provides an opportunity to go off-site and explore different parks and activities across Richmond and Vancouver all while staying active and having fun.

    Jul 02-Jul 05
    This week’s theme is Birds in Flight and possible visits could include the King George Park, Owl Rehabilitation Facility, Centennial Beach, Grouse Mountain and Bloedel Conservatory!

    Jul 15-Jul 19
    This week’s theme is Bustle to Beaches and possible visits could include the Vancouver Aquarium, Second Beach, 6pack indoor beach, Maritime Museum, and Kitsilano Beach!

    Jul 29-Aug 02
    This week’s theme is Athletes in Action and possible visits could include Central City Fun Park, disc golf, and Wild Play!

    Aug 12-16
    This week’s theme is Museums in Motion and possible visits could include Science World, HR Macmillan Space Centre, Burnaby Village Museum, Museum of Vancouver, and Britannia Mine Museum!

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 6 to 9 years

    Dates: July 2 – 5, July 15 – 19, July 29 – August 2, August 12 – 16

    Cost: $480 – $625

    Required Items: 

    • Birds in Flight: Please arrive wearing sunscreen. An Oval Camps hat will be provided on your first day.
    • Bustle to Beaches: Please arrive wearing sunscreen. An Oval Camps hat will be provided on your first day. A change of clothes is recommended.
    • Athletes in Action: Please arrive wearing sunscreen. An Oval Camps hat will be provided on your first day.
    • Museums in Motion: Please arrive wearing sunscreen. An Oval Camps hat will be provided on your first day.

    Get Outdoors

    Spend your camp week outdoors exploring the surrounding areas of the Richmond Oval on your bike. This camp will test your endurance and self-confidence with challenging bike rides and outdoor adventures such as swimming and a visit to Richmond’s Pitch & Putt Course.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 9 to 12 years

    Experience: Participants must be experienced riders, comfortable riding long distances including trail riding.

    Dates: July 2 – 5, July 15 – 19, August 12 – 16

    Cost: $343 – $429

    Required items: Please bring a 2-wheel fully operational bike, CSA approved bike helmet, bike lock, sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle and snack.

    Get Wet

    Do you want a totally unique experience this summer? Get Wet provides an opportunity to dive into the water for some swimming fun by exploring all the types of indoor and outdoor pools across Richmond and Vancouver. Out trips could include visits to outdoor pools at Second Beach and Kitsilano, Watermania and Big Splash! This camp is designed to hone leadership, team building, and athletic skills. The leaders of this camp are lifeguards.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 9 to 12 years

    Experience: Participants must be able to swim independently and pass test as set out by each pool.

    Dates: July 8 – 12, July 22 – 26, August 6 – 9

    Cost: $496 – $625

    Required items: Please bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle, snack and lunch everyday day of camp.

    GO EXTREME! Girls in Motion Camps

    A twist on a camp favorite, Go Extreme! Girls in Motion is designed specifically to meet the needs of girls who enjoy adventure. This camp provides an opportunity to go off-site and explore different parks and activities across Richmond and Vancouver all while staying active and having fun. Possible visits could include the Vancouver Aquarium, Queen Elizabeth Park, Science World, and Central City fun Park!

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age:6 to 9 years and 9 to 12 years

    Experience: None

    Dates: August 19 – 23

    Cost: $600

    Required items: Please arrive wearing sunscreen. An Oval Camps hat will be provided on your first day.

    Outdoor Athlete

    A week of adventure! Spend your camp week outdoors exploring the surrounding areas of the Richmond Oval on your bike. This camp will test your endurance and self-confidence with challenging bike rides, outdoor adventures and sports such as ultimate, disc golf and football. Throughout the week, learn to climb and belay on the Oval’s indoor climbing wall.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 12 to 15 years

    Experience: Participants must be experienced riders, comfortable riding long distances including trail riding.

    Dates: July 8 – 12, July 22 – 26, August 6 – 9,

    Cost: $450

    Pedal n’ Putt

    The perfect outdoor camp that combines biking with golf. Practice and improve your biking techniques through exciting biking adventures and rides, while also learning how to putt, swing and drive your golf ball. You will bike to Richmond’s Pitch and Putt course and will get a turn at mini-putt.

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 6 to 9 years

    Experience: Participants must be experienced riders, comfortable riding medium to long distances including trail riding.

    Dates: July 8 – 12, July 22 – 26, August 6 – 9

    Try Triathlon

    Swim! Bike! Run! The sport of triathlon is a racing event which test athletes in three different disciplines: swimming, biking and running. In this introductory camp participants will learn the basics of each part of the race through fun games. Aspects of the sport such as transitioning between activities, and supporting other racers will also be emphasized. The week will wrap up with a mini-event!

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 9 to 12 years

    Experience: Participants must feel comfortable swimming in deep water and be experienced riders, comfortable riding long distances including trail riding.

    Dates: July 29 – August 2, August 19 – 23

    Cost: $399

    Required items: Please bring a 2-wheel fully operational bike, CSA approved bike helmet, bike lock, sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle, lunch and snack.
