You may be familiar with our newest offering called DEKA™. Whether you’re a regular at DEKA™ Strength classes with Adam, Annie, Chris or Ciara, or you participated in the very first DEKA™ Strong event back in July, we’re inviting you to join us for our next lineup of DEKA™ events.
As a refresher, DEKA™ consists of ten functional “Zones” including:
- 30 RAM Alternating Reverse Lunges
- 500 Meter Row
- 20 Box Jump/Step Over
- 25 Med Ball Sit-Ups/Throws
- 500 Meter Ski Erg
- 100 Meter Farmer Carry
- 25 Calories Air Bike
- 20 Dead Ball Wall/Shoulder Over
- 100 Meter Tank Push/Pull
- 20 RAM Burpees
The zones are completed sequentially with standard weight for men and women. Participants are timed from when they begin Zone 1 to when Zone 10 is finished, serving as a fantastic tool to measure and track your progress in your fitness journey over time.
On Saturday, November 25, the Richmond Olympic Oval will host two DEKA™ events: DEKA™ Strong and DEKA™ Mile.
DEKA™ Strong consists of the classic ten DEKA™ Zones.
DEKA™ Mile levels up the ten training zones, as each zone is preceded by a 160-meter run, totaling one mile of running distance.
