Deadline for full refund for July camps is June 1. Deadline for full refund for August camps is July 1. All withdrawal requests after those dates are at the discretion of the Camp Programmer. Any refunds granted by the Camp Programmer are subject to a cancellation fee and will be to account credit only. Requests for rescheduling camp are at the discretion of the Camp Programmer, rescheduling fee may apply.

    Active Life and Leadership Camps

    This specialized camp is a combination of awesome sports, fitness activities and sessions focused on leadership development. Develop leadership through team building games and workshops. You will have the opportunity to set-up sport activities for each other to practice for future coaching.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

    Format: Full day (9am-4pm)

    Age: 12 to 15 years

    Adapted Sports Camp for All

    This truly is a camp for all! Our Adapted Sports Camp for All is focused on diversity and inclusivity in sport by introducing participants to a range of adapted activities. Various adapted sport groups will come in to teach participants a different sport each day making for a unique sport camp experience. Open to children with physical and intellectual disabilities and able-bodied children.

    Format: Half day camp, 9am-12pm

    Ball n’ Balance Tots Camps

    Engage your tot’s playful side in our Ball n’ Balance camp! Participants will develop their fundamental movement skills such as balance and coordination through play using gymnastic equipment and our tumble tot equipment. A Kin-ball will be used to introduce campers to various sport and games in a fun and inclusive setting.

    Format: Half day camp, 1pm-4pm

    Beach n’ Ball Camps

    Have fun in the sand this summer with our new beach sports camp! In Beach n’ Ball camp, participants will be exposed to a variety of beach sports on the Oval’s outdoor volleyball courts including beach volleyball, beach soccer and spikeball! This camp will take place outdoors so please bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.

    Format: Half day camps, 1pm-4pm except August 2-5, 9am-12pm

    Beach Tots Camps

    Your tot will have a blast in the sand this summer in our Beach Tots Camp! Participants will further develop their fundamental movement skills, such as striking and jumping, in a fun, inclusive environment on the Oval’s beach volleyball courts. Activities will include an introduction to typical beach sports like volleyball and soccer and plenty of other fun beach activities. This camp will take place outdoors so please bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.

    Fit & Fun Camps

    This camp is focused on fitness and aims to teach young adults how to lead and enjoy healthy, active lifestyles through various modes of physical activities in a fun and social environment. This camp is offered in formats for both boys and girls to build confidence and technique within your comfort and limits. You will be taught how to maintain healthy, lifelong fitness goals based on your skills and interests. Join us for a week full of fitness activities including yoga, weight and cardio training, Zumba, rock climbing and so much more.

    The ultimate multi-sport experience! Take part in a variety of Oval activities from climbing to sports such as soccer, golf, and badminton with plenty of fun games. This sport camp is based on Canadian Sport for Life – the goal of Oval camps is to build fundamental movement skills such as throwing, catching, running, jumping, balance and coordination, while instilling the confidence and passion to play sport for life!

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with possible off-site component (Dover park)

    Format: Available for half-day and full day

    Age: 6 to 7 years and 8 to 10 years

    Experience: None

    Dates: All Summer

    Cost: $149-$350

    Required items: sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle, snack and, if staying for a full day, lunch. Change of clothes for emergencies/accidents is recommended.

    A twist on a camp favourite, Go Extreme! Girls in Motion is designed specifically to meet the needs of girls who enjoy adventure. Activities will focus on sports and physical activities which are traditionally female-oriented such as dance and yoga, while incorporating unique activities such as a roller skating and tumbling!

Park Rangers will play a variety of outdoor sports such as soccer, ultimate & field hockey, as well as discover activities such as orienteering and learn about outdoor safety. Activities will also focus on developing each ranger’s fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, coordination and throwing.

    Format: Half day camps, 9am-12pm on July 4-8, July 18-22 & August 2-5. All other weeks are 1pm-4pm

    Learn the proper movements associated with badminton, table tennis, progressive tennis and golf – all sports that utilize hand-eye coordination and striking skills. You will be introduced to rules of the game and learn various grips, shots, basic footwork, and body positioning, while developing fundamental athletic movements.

    Oval Camps are partnering with the Olympic Experience for a great opportunity to introduce children to the excitement of the Olympic Games. Learn Olympic values such as participation, teamwork, fair play and respect through Olympic and Team Canada themed crafts and activities taking place in the Museum, in the Theatre and on the Olympic Riverside Plaza.

    In this specialized camp, learn and play a variety of field sports to improve individual skills such as passing accuracy and catching technique, as well as develop in a team environment by working on defensive and offensive strategies. This camp serves to introduce and advance athletes in field sports such as rugby, flag football, ultimate frisbee, field hockey and more.

    Fun activities will introduce you to sport. Focus will be on developing fundamental movement skills like throwing, running, jumping, catching, balance and coordination through games. Traditional sports such as baseball, soccer, and basketball will be modified to match the development level of participants.

    Try Triathlon Camps

    Swim! Bike! Run! The sport of triathlon is a racing event which tests athletes in three different disciplines: swimming, biking and running. In this introductory camp, you will learn the basics of each part of the race through fun games. Aspects of the sport such as transitioning between activities, and supporting other racers will also be emphasized. The week will wrap up with a mini-event!

    Experience: Ability to swim in deep water and bike long distances.
