    Active Life and Leadership

    This specialized camp is a combination of awesome sports and fitness activities and sessions focused on leadership development. Leadership will be developed in action through team building games as well as through workshop sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to set-up sport activities for each other and other camps to practice for future coaching.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

    Format: Full day

    Age: 12 to 15 years

    Dates: July 2 – 5, July 22 – 26, August 6 – 9, August 19 – 23

    Cost: $315 – $393

    Beach n’ Ball

    Blast in the sand this summer in our Beach n’ Ball Camp! Participants will further develop their fundamental movement skills, such as striking and jumping, in a fun, inclusive environment on the Oval’s beach volleyball courts. Activities will include an introduction to typical beach sports like volleyball and soccer as well as new sports like spikeball and beach tennis, and of course have plenty of other fun beach activities. This camp will take place outdoors so please bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat.

    Format: Half day camps

    Age: 6 to 9 years and 9 to 12 years

    Experience: None

    Dates: August 6 – 9, August 19 – 23

    Cost: $167 – $209

    Beach Tots

    Your tot will have a blast in the sand this summer in our Beach Tots Camp!     Get Skills

    The ultimate multi-sport experience! Take part in a variety of Oval activities, sports, and games. This sport camp is based on Canadian Sport for Life – the goal of Oval camps is to build fundamental movement skills such as throwing, catching, running, jumping, balance and coordination, while instilling the confidence and passion to play sport for life!

    NEW IN 2024: GET SKILLS – PARIS EDITION, GET SKILLS – L.A. EDITION

    A spin on a classic! These multisport camps will incorporate the new sports taking place in Paris 2024 and making their debut in L.A. in 2028. Play all of your favourite Get Skills games and try Breaking, Surfing, Skateboarding and Climbing (Paris Edition), or Baseball, Squash, Flag Football, Cricket and Lacrosse (L.A. Edition).  All while Team Canada try for the podium in Paris! Could you be an Olympian of the future?

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with possible off-site component (Dover park)

    Format: Available for half-day and full day

    Age: 6 to 7 years, 8 to 10 years and 11 – 12 years

    GO! Girls in Motion

    This camp is designed specifically to meet the needs of girls. Activities will focus on sports and physical activities which are traditionally female-oriented and include activities such as volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, dance and yoga, with two skating lessons taking place throughout the week.

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

    Format: Full day

    Age: 6 to 9 years and 9 to 12 years

    Dates: July 2 -5, July 15 – 19, July 29 – August 2, August 12 – 16

    Cost: $360 – $450

    Racquet, Paddle n’ Putter

    Learn the proper movements associated with badminton, table tennis, progressive tennis and golf – all sports that utilize hand-eye coordination and striking skills. You will be introduced to rules of the games and learn various grips, shots, basic footwork, and body positioning, while developing fundamental athletic movements. Camp will take place outdoors at Dover Neighbourhood Park so please arrive wearing sunscreen and hat.

    Richmond Olympic Experience

    Olympic Experience camps are a great opportunity to introduce children to the excitement of the Olympic Games. Learn Olympic values such as participation and teamwork in our Olympic themed crafts and activities including the Team Canada Uniform Design Challenge and our Museum Olympics Finals. Break out of the museum space with outdoor activities on Olympic Riverside Plaza and the Fields.

    Canucks Autism Network Camps

    Two camps are available in collaboration with the Canucks Autism Networks:

    Multisport Camp: In this specialized multisport camp, participants will be introduced to a variety of different sports through fun games and activities. The goal of this camp is to develop fundamental movements skills such as balance, jumping, and coordination while instilling a confidence to play sport for life! 

    Sensory-Friendly Sport Sampler Camp: This is a unique and inclusive multisport experience for individuals on the spectrum who would benefit from lower ratios and sensory-friendly spaces, but want all the fun of large group games, sport-specific instruction, and camp integration. In groups of three, with one support worker, participate in Oval camps such as Get Skills, Learn to Climb, Badminton Blast, and Intro to Kin-Ball. You will also have your own sign-in/out area and cool down space.

    Format: Half day camps

    Age: 7 – 12 years

    • Multisport Camp: August 6 – 9

    Sport Tots

    This multi-sport camp will introduce young participants to sport through fun activities and games. The focus will be on developing fundamental movement skills like throwing, running, jumping, catching, balance and coordination. Traditional sports such as basketball, soccer and baseball will be modified to match the development level of participants.

    Format: Half day camp

    Age: 4 to 5 years

    Dates: August 19 – 23

    Cost: $209

    Try Triathlon

    Swim! Bike! Run! The sport of triathlon is a racing event which test athletes in three different disciplines: swimming, biking and running. In this introductory camp participants will learn the basics of each part of the race through fun games. Aspects of the sport such as transitioning between activities, and supporting other racers will also be emphasized. The week will wrap up with a mini-event!

    Location: Richmond Olympic Oval with off-site component

    Format: Full day

    Age: 9 to 12 years

    Experience: Participants must feel comfortable swimming in deep water and be experienced riders, comfortable riding long distances including trail riding.

    Dates: July 29 – August 2, August 19 – 23

    Cost: $399

    Required items: Please bring a 2-wheel fully operational bike, CSA approved bike helmet, bike lock, sunscreen, hat, athletic wear, running shoes, water bottle, lunch and snack.

    Tumble Tots

    Bouncing, somersaults, cartwheels and more! Tumble Tots will introduce body awareness and physical movement fundamentals. Through game play, develop running, jumping, rolling, coordination and balance skills.
