Summer break is two months long. For high school students in Richmond, that can mean more training time, more opportunities to stay active, and more flexibility to focus on personal fitness goals.
The Richmond Olympic Oval’s Summer Youth Pass provides 60 days of access to the Oval and is available for purchase from June 12 to July 12. For $104.50, pass holders can use the fitness centre, public skating sessions, climbing wall, and multi-sport courts throughout their pass period.
Whether you’re training for a sport, staying active between school years, or exploring a new activity, the pass provides access to a range of training and recreation opportunities under one roof.
What’s Included:
1) Fitness Centre

Whether you’re training for a sport, building strength, or getting comfortable in the gym, the Fitness Centre has the equipment to support a variety of goals. Squat racks, cable machines, free weights, Olympic lifting platforms, cardio equipment, and functional training spaces are all available.
The space is used year-round by local residents, student-athletes, and high-performance athletes who train at the Oval.
Youth aged 13–16 can access the Fitness Centre after completing a complimentary Youth Orientation.
2) Multi-Sport Courts

The Oval’s multi-sport courts are available for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and other drop-in activities. Whether you’re developing skills, training with friends, or participating in a drop-in session, the courts are available throughout the summer.
3) Olympic-sized Rinks

The Summer Youth Pass includes access to public skating and stick & puck sessions on the Oval’s two Olympic-sized ice rinks.
4) Climbing Wall

One of the tallest indoor climbing walls in Metro Vancouver, the Oval’s climbing wall offers all three climbing disciplines: bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.

Two Months of Access
Students who use the facility regularly can access the fitness centre, public skating and stick & puck sessions, climbing wall, and multi-sport courts throughout the summer without paying separate drop-in fees.
At $104.50 for two months, the pass works out to about $1.71 per day.
